There are conflicting reports about what exactly happened backstage after the AEW All Out pay-per-view, but there is no disagreement that a physical altercation took place. The most commonly-shared details suggest that CM Punk hit Matt Jackson, while CM Punk’s friend Ace Steel is accused of hitting Nick Jackson with a chair as well as biting Kenny Omega and pulling his hair. Matt and Nick Jackson competed in the main event of the Road Rager edition of Dynamite where they faced defending champions Jurassic Express in a triple threat ladder match. After a hard fought battle, the Bucks climbed the ladder and won the title. The sign in question popped up during a segment in which reigning AEW champion Kenny Omega and his faction The Elite were beating up Omega’s next opponent, Christian. It was a fun, hilarious segment, but watchful viewers noticed a sign held up by the audience behind the action. The sign read “KEFKA > SEPHIROTH,” a comparison between Final Fantasy 6’s cackling God of Magic and Final Fantasy 7’s sword-wielding summoner of Meteor....

The announcement comes after some speculation regarding the possibility of the company releasing a video game sometime in the near future. This should come as no surprise, though, as many of the members on AEW’s roster are avid gamers, including co-founder and member of The Elite, Kenny Omega, who has made appearances alongside WWE’s The New Day at E3 2018 In a Street Fighter tournament. Omega has stated in the past that he wants to get a license for the AKI engine or use something similar for an AEW video game....

Speaking with IGN Japan yesterday, Omega divulged a ton of new details about what players can expect from the title, the biggest of which being what modes will make an appearance. According to “The Cleaner,” the suite of standard popular wrestling video game modes will crop up in the AEW Video Game, including Create-A-Wrestler, multiplayer, and a dedicated campaign mode.
