Kenny Omega’s first game won’t surprise anyone. It’s Final Fantasy 7, from which Kenny Omega took the names of his V-Trigger and One-Winged Angel moves. Kenny Omega also has a close relationship with Square Enix, doing an interview with Final Fantasy 7 Remake producer Yoshinori Kitase about the game’s upcoming release just recently.

The remaining three games on Kenny Omega’s list also have a lot of retro flair. There’s Mega Man 2, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time, and finally Undertale. Kenny Omega notably walked to the ring dressed as Undertale’s Sans in 2019. Undertale creator Toby Fox is apparently a big fan and even made a personalized intro for Kenny Omega.

Kenny Omega admitted that picking just for defining games was a difficult task for him and that he could double or even triple the list. Picking just four had to have been a challenge. For someone who video games clearly play such an important part of their lives, they picked a solid four to start. Video game fans have a home with AEW and a friend in Kenny Omega.

AEW Dynamite airs on TNT each Wednesday at 5:00 pm PT.
